Youth Cong activists protests in Jammu against Farms Bills

Youth Congress J&K held a protest demonstration against the Farm Bills passed in the Parliament on Sunday, stating that the bills are against the farmers of the country.
Dozens of Youth Congress leaders and activists assembled here at Jammu Press Club while holding anti-BJP posters and raised slogans against the BJP-led Central government.
Pertinent, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar introduced the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 in Rajya Sabha on Sunday.
The protesters said that the bills brought by the Modi led Government are totally against the farmers and these bills by the Centre will leave the farmers in the hands of the big companies for being exploited.
The protest was led by Youth Congress leader, Uday Bhanu Chib State President J&K Youth Congress
The Protesters said that these proposed laws are �ill conceived and they oppose them and the central government should take back the twin farm bills passed on Sunday since these are against the land owners of the nation.
�Farm bills are against the federal cooperative spirit,� the protesters said and questioned the need to bring these bills during COVID-19 besides the passing of anti-farmers bills have triggered outrage across the nation.
Youth Congress Leader said that the bills have been brought with an intention to end the Minimum Support Price (MSP) operations and are against the economic interests of farming sector.
�These bills have nothing that would be seen as harnessing factor in huge potential of the agriculture sector besides it leads to taking away land of farmers,� Youth Congress leaders said and added that they would not accept the bill passed by the Parliament.
Youth Congress J&K demanded the immediate roll back of the twin farm bill passed in the parliament session 2020 and threatened of mass agitation across the UT if bills were not demolished at the earliest. The Indian Youth Congress is also going to stage a "Parliament Gherao" for the rights of unemployed youth and farmers of the country on 22nd September 2020 under the leadership of Krishna Allavaru IYC incharge and Srinivas BV IYC President . Uday Chib also urged the youth of J&K to join the Parliament Gherao for the cause of youth and farmers.
