There was hailstorm in Chandigarh, Zirakpur, Kharar and Mohali as downpour lashed most pieces of Punjab and Haryana while the base temperatures remained above ordinary on Thursday.
Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Faridkot and Mohali among different spots in Punjab, and Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak and Bhiwani in Haryana got downpour, as per the Met division.
Among different spots in Punjab, Amritsar recorded a base temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius, four steps over the season's normal while Ludhiana and Patiala enlisted 12.4 degrees Celsius each.
Pathankot, Bathinda, Gurdaspur and Faridkot recorded a base temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius, 11.2 degrees Celsius, 10.3 degrees Celsius and 10.2 degrees Celsius, individually.
In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded their essentials at 11.8 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius separately, up to four degrees better than average.
The base temperature in Chandigarh was 12.5 degrees Celsius, three steps better than average.
