Even after 48 hours of incident, police are helpless in the case of gang rape of three women in Assan Kalani village of this district.
The police have arrested around 15 suspects and are questioning them. Four accused are still at large.
SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of DSP Krishan Kumar.
The families of the victims were sent to the residential house by a special police team. The police suspect that the accused belongs to nearby villages.
More than 150 police officers in civilian clothes are trying to get clues about the accused. Police visited several houses and also checked CCTV footage.
About 10 police teams visited the site on Friday.
The clothes and belongings were strewn on the porch and in the rooms of the farmhouse, where the criminals gang-raped the three women and robbed them of cash and jewelry, revealing the brutality of the crime. The women were brought before a judge to record their statements.
Four masked men allegedly raped three women early Thursday morning in the presence of their husbands and children.
In another case, four attackers killed a woman in a fish farm on the same night. The fraudsters also robbed the victims of cash and jewelry.
The SP said it was too early to comment on the investigation. Meanwhile, DIG Naazneen Bhasin visited the spot on Friday and met the victims. Bhasin said the police would solve the matter soon.
