Previous Mumbai NCB zonal chief Sameer Wankhede has moved the Bombay High Court testing the Implementation Directorate's tax evasion argument against him, it was a "counter impact" to a grumbling documented by him against the counter medication organization's senior authority to guarantee that it.

The ED enrolled the tax evasion body of evidence against Wankhede in the wake of taking cognisance of a Focal Department of Examination (CBI) FIR in a supposed Rs 25 crore pay off request from Bollywood whiz Shah Rukh Khan's family to save his child Aryan Khan in a medications case.

Wankhede, a 2008-group Indian Income Administration (IRS) official of the Traditions and Roundabout Expenses unit, in his supplication said the ED's case "bears a resemblance to malevolence and quarrel".
The petition, which was submitted on February 6 by lawyers Karan Jain, Sneha Sanap, and Aditya Targe, called for the ED case to be overturned and for an interim order to be issued that would shield him from any kind of coercive action.

Wankhede in his request recorded in the HC against the ED's case said Singh and scarcely any influential individuals in power have released all organizations like the CBI, ED and NCB to fix him for some situation.
"The ED's case is a counter impact to the objection documented by the solicitor (Wankhede) against IPS Gyaneshwar in January 2024," his supplication said.
It further claimed that Wankhede had gotten a call compromising him to pull out the objections he has submitted against Singh and leave his post as IRS official.
