A massive fire broke out at a non-functional factory in Samba district on Friday.

The fire broke out inside the BBF factory store in Samba this afternoon and later spread in the entire factory. However, no casualty has been reported so far.

Around six fire tenders reached the spot and started the fire-fighting operations. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained. A local said, “The mosquito coil manufacturing factory has been lying non-functional for the last five years.

There is no one in the factory except a guard. The fire broke out inside the factory this afternoon and fire-fighting operation is still under way.” An official said, “We got the information about the fire this afternoon and immediately our teams rushed to the spot. The factory is non-functional since the past few years.
