After back to back long periods of moderate to weighty snow in a few pieces of the Himachal Pradesh, 504 streets, including four public expressways, in the state were shut for vehicular traffic, authorities said.

Shimla, the state's capital, saw a concise spell of snowfall on Saturday carrying cheer to inhabitants and vacationers. The city and its abutting regions saw irregular snowfall with cloudy skies.

The climate office anticipated weighty snow in disconnected puts of the state on Sunday.
