A few trips to and from New Delhi's Indira Gandhi Worldwide Air terminal were redirected after downpour lashed pieces of the Capital on Monday night.

IndiGo, Vistara and SpiceJet informed travelers via web-based entertainment with respect to deferrals and redirections of flights.

A Kolkata-Delhi flight (UK778) was redirected to Lucknow because of Air Gridlock at Delhi air terminal, a proclamation by Vistara said.

Vistara's Guwahati-Delhi Flight (UK742) was redirected to Jaipur.

"We are confronting ATC clog at Delhi (DEL) because of terrible climate. All takeoffs/appearances and their important flights may be impacted. Travelers are mentioned to keep a beware of their flight status," an assertion by SpiceJet read.

Upwards of 16 flights were redirected at the Delhi air terminal on Monday night because of terrible climate, as indicated by an authority.

The authority said that 10 flights were redirected to Jaipur, three to Lucknow, two to Amritsar and one to Ahmedabad. Another authority said five Air India flights were redirected. Among them, a flight coming from Sydney was redirected to Jaipur. /PTI
