Normal life was hit across Kashmir on Tuesday due to a shutdown called by separatists on the anniversary of the hanging of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front founder Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.

Bhat was hanged on February 11, 1984, at Tihar Jail and is buried there.

As a precautionary measure, the authorities suspended 2G mobile Internet services in the Kashmir to prevent any law and order situation.
