Aug 26, 2025: On Tuesday, Maruti Suzuki's first electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, was unveiled at the Gujarat factory in Hansalpur by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

More than 100 nations, including Japan, will receive the Maruti e-Vitara, which was manufactured in India.

Additionally, Modi dedicated the Suzuki, Toshiba, and Denso lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility to the production of batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles.
