A terror threat has surfaced ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, one month after the Pahalgam terror incident. According to the sources, "Operation Shiva" has been launched by the Indian security services to ensure the smooth running of the 38-day pilgrimage.

Amit Shah, the home minister, has instructed the security personnel to remain on high alert throughout the Yatra. The Yatri Niwas have previously been evaluated by the highest ranking paramilitary, police, and administrative personnel.
Nalin Prabhat, the head of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, ordered security personnel to strengthen precautions against possible threats by sending anti-sabotage teams along the pilgrimage routes on Monday, according to the news agency. Additionally, the DGP requested that they make use of cutting-edge technologies to improve their capacity for surveillance and threat identification.
According to a police spokeswoman, the DGP presided over a joint meeting with police officers and members of the Central Armed Police Forces in the Police Control Room in Kashmir to discuss security plans for the Amarnath Yatra, Eid-Ul-Adha, and other forthcoming festivities.
According to the spokesperson, the police chief gave the officers instructions to use anti-sabotage teams along the Amarnath Yatra routes in order to reduce any possible hazards. Additionally, he instructed the officers to use real-time monitoring and cutting-edge technologies to improve surveillance and threat identification capabilities. He stated that the conference ended with a decision to guarantee the best possible planning and coordination for the efficient and effective execution of every event.
