The Central Government and the administration of Jammu and Kashmir would do everything in their power to offer pilgrims participating in the annual Amarnath Yatra with all the amenities they require, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Beginning on July 3 and ending on August 9, the pilgrimage to the cave shrine in south Kashmir will go for 38 days.
Shah presided over a high-level assessment meeting for the Amarnath pilgrimage on Thursday evening, where he assessed the pilgrims' security and readiness. During the meeting, Shah also went over the general state of security in Jammu and Kashmir. The conference, which concluded late Thursday evening, was attended by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and senior representatives from the Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Border Security Force (BSF), and intelligence services.
"Chaired a review meeting for the Amarnath pilgrimage and examined the security arrangements and preparedness meant for the pilgrims," Amit Shah said in a statement on X.
"Told to remain extremely vigilant and make sure the holy journey is completed without a hitch." The J&K administration and the central government will do everything in their power to provide the pilgrims with all the amenities they require," Shah stated.
The entire yatra route is expected to see the coordinated deployment of security troops, according to information obtained. The Army and J&K Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) would be stationed at strategic locations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which winds through numerous remote forest areas.
