The yearly Amarnath Yatra started on Saturday as the primary clump of pioneers left the twin headquarters in Baltal and Nunwan to begin their excursion to the 3880-meter-high cavern sanctuary in the south Kashmir Himalayas, authorities said.
The yatra began early morning from the twin tracks - - the conventional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam course and the 14-km Baltal course.
