BJP pioneer Lakhbir Singh Lakhi was gone after and denied of Rs 63,000 at gunpoint in Haroli area of Una region, police said on Thursday.

A few local people who assembled there after the occurrence took the BJP pioneer to clinic, where he is going through treatment, they said.


An examination is in progress, said Haroli DSP Mohan Rawat.

The occurrence occurred on Wednesday night when Lakhi, who is likewise a carrier, was coming back in Gondpur Jaichand from Tahliwal Modern Region in his vehicle.


A vehicle overwhelmed him and hit his vehicle. At the point when Lakhi halted to check the harm, the inhabitants of the other vehicle came out waving blades and iron poles and hauled the BJP pioneer out of the vehicle and beat him up.

Lakhi supported serious wounds, police said.

Una BJP MLA Sat Buddy Satti denounced the episode and affirmed that the rule of peace and law circumstance had demolished in the area under the Congress government. He requested quick capture of the assailants.
