The Public Examination Organization (NIA) on Wednesday directed cross country strikes to capture those engaged with illegal exploitation and confined an individual from Myanmar in Jammu, as per authorities.
The strikes, being directed in eight states and two Association Regions, relate to illegal exploitation cases, a representative of the NIA said.
The authority said look were done in Tripura, Assam, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Haryana, Rajasthan and the Association Regions of Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry.
A Rohingya Muslim from Myanmar was confined during a strike in Jammu and Kashmir, an authority said in Jammu.
Zaffar Alam was arrested from his impermanent home in Bathindi area of Jammu around 2 am, while one more blamed is on the run, the authority said.
The strikes were limited to ghettos lodging Myanmar migrants and were led regarding a case connected with infringement of the Identifications Act and illegal exploitation, the authority in Jammu said.
