Indian skipper KL Rahul won the toss and was selected to field in the first ODI of the three-match series against Australia here on Friday.
Shreyas Iyer, who missed just two matches in the Asia Cup due to back problems, is back in the playing XI, which includes Rituraj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Shami.
Skipper Pat Cummins and Steve Smith, who both suffered wrist injuries, returned to the Australian squad.
