Hockey India on Tuesday announced the appointment of Belgian Artur Lucas as the video analyst coach for its senior and junior teams.
As per his contract, Lucas will work with all four Indian hockey teams - Senior Men, Senior Women, Junior Men, and Juniors at the SAI Center in Bengaluru. to his new position with a lot of experience and knowledge. Previously, the Belgian worked as a performance analyst for the U-18 national team in the Royal Belgian Hockey Association from 2018 to 2023. During his tenure, he significantly influenced the development and success of the team. He also worked as an analytical consultant at Biztory Belgium last year, which allowed him to improve his analytical skills while providing innovative insights into the sport.

Lucas has also been a key player for KHC Dragons as a performance analyst since 2017, providing critical analysis and support to one of Belgium's top hockey clubs.
From 2015 to 2021, he worked at Victoria Hockey Club in Edegem in various positions, such as youth coach and trainer.
Commenting on Lucas' appointment, Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said, "We are delighted to welcome Artur Lucas to the Hockey India family. His vast experience and expertise as a coach and video analyst will undoubtedly enhance the performance of our teams. Lucas arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday.
