A 24-year-old flight attendant was found dead in a flat in Mumbai, after which the police registered a case of murder, an official said on Monday.
Rupal Ogrey, who hails from Chhattisgarh, came to Mumbai for training with Air India in April, the official said.
He died at his flat in NG Complex at Krishanlal Marwah Marg in Maroli area of ​​Andheri suburbs on Sunday night, he said.
The Powai police have registered a case of murder of an unknown person and several teams have been formed to nab the culprit, the official said.

During the investigation, the police established that the woman lives in the apartment with her sister and her boyfriend, but they left the home eight days ago. The police have now informed them about the incident, the official said.
When she did not answer her family's calls, they called their local friends in Mumbai and asked them to come to their flat.
When local friends of the family went there, they found the apartment locked from the inside and the doorbell unanswered.

They later contacted the Powai police and with their help opened the flat with a double lock, the official said.
The woman was found lying with her throat cut. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital where he was declared dead before admission, he said.
Based on initial information, the police have lodged an FIR under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC, the official said, adding that investigation is ongoing.
