Staying safe: 5 basic COVID-19 guidelines to follow before venturing out
30-03-2021
India is again staring at the second COVID-19 peak with the country registering the highest single-day coronavirus cases on Sunday, the highest since October last year, with 291 deaths. India recorded 68,020 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The addition of more than 68,000 fresh cases has taken the total tally to 1.20 crore while the virus-related death toll has now risen to 1.61 lakh in the country. The COVID virus once again raised its head due to the complacent behaviour of the people and violation of COVID protocols in place. The time has again forced us to strictly follow the covid guidelines including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. There is also a need to follow other COVID measures to ensure your and your family's safety.
Here are some of the measures you should follow while venturing outside
==============================================================
1. Try to avoid peak timings and other crows settings while planning to move out. Whenever possible, try to take the routes that are less congested.
2. Always carry a hand sanitiser with at least 60 per cent alcohol. Also take with you disinfecting wipes, tissues, extra fabric masks.
3. When moving out alone or with other family members, always ensure that all are feeling safe and are symptom-free. Remind each other of the precautionary measures to follow such as maintaining one-metre distance from each other.
4. Once you are out, try not to touch your face (eyes, nose, mouth) or the mask surface. Frequently wash or sanitise your hands.
5. Try taking your own utensils when you plan to eat food outside. If this thing is not possible, then choose a take-out rather eating indoors. After having food, don't forget to wash your hands. After returning home, again wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
