Hot Spring National park in the USA turns 100 years old this year
10-March-2021

The Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas is a lovely place with 47 naturally flowing springs, located on the southwestern slope of Hot Springs Mountain. The park has in store a ton of great outdoor activities and celebrations in order to mark 100 years of its existence.

Visitors to the hot spring can soak themselves in thermal waters, and even drink the spring water from its fountains. Not just this, but adventurists will be happy to learn that you can even hike the trails here, and walk through the famous Bathhouse Row, containing eight bathhouses with architectural significance built sometime around 1912 to 1923.

The Hot Springs National Park was established back in March 4, 1921, and besides being the oldest, it is also the smallest one. This year, celebrating its 100 years of existence, the national park is hosting events such as the Iron Ranger challenge, which will include 100 miles of biking, walking, paddling, or hiking in Arkansas throughout 2021. Other than this you also have photo contests.

This has been home to native Indians for thousands of years, and is in fact part of American history.

You can also look forward to April 20 this year when the park celebrates Hot Springs Reservation Day. The park is going to host guided hikes, and special tours on this day. Also on June 12, the park is going to host a fun Block Party in 1920s style, where you have to dress up in old costumes.
