Having a portable PlayStation is every gamer's dream which has been brought to life by a Japanese technician. Sharing their creation on social media, Twitter user DX Terraria said that the portable video game console was "finally complete" after 10 months of hard work. The portable PlayStation 4 has been reassembled into a silver briefcase, with a flip-up lid which doubles up as a screen to play on. A video of the portable PS4 turning on and starting up has gone viral on the microblogging platform. The acrylic cover on top of the console is fixed with a magnet, which means that it can be easily removed to change the game disc inside. The incredible creation weighs 6.4 kilograms and is roughly the size of a PlayStation 5. While answering the queries of excited netizens, the technician said that it had cost them 50,000 yen (Rs 35,500) to build the portable PS4. They added that they would not sell the creation, however, if they were to put a price on the console it would set a buyer back roughly 150,000 yen (Rs 1.06 lakh). The console can be charged using an adaptor that can be plugged into the mains or a laptop. It has a playtime of around one hour. The technician added that they have plans to create a portable version of the newly-released PlayStation 5 in the coming years. They also shared a sneak peek of what a future portable PS5 console could look like, writing: "I want to make it happen in a few years."
