Indian autotmotive industry has been in not the greatest phase since, well, 2019? Well, if you were to look at Bajaj Auto's numbers -- you would have a hard time believing that though. The two-wheeler manufacturer has shared its sales numbers from the month of September 2020 and all we can say is "Colour us impressed!" Of course, there are several notable numbers in the mix, but the most important one is that for exports -- Bajaj Auto registered its high ever exports in September 2020, with 1,85,351 units sent overseas. In comparison to the exports from a year before period, the company recorded a growth of 16 per cent.

But that's not the only impressive thing about Bajaj Auto's September 2020 sales numbers -- the company's domestic two-wheeler sales also recorded year-on-year growth last month. 2,19,500 units of Bajaj two-wheelers were sold in India in September 2020 as compared to the 1,77,348 units in September 2019. This translates into a 24 per cent growth.

Even though Bajaj Auto had a fantastic month in the context of two-wheelers, its performance in the commercial vehicles segment remained dismal. It sold only 9,231 units of CVs last month, registering a decline of 76 per cent as compared to figures from September 2019, when it sold 38,153 units. Exports didn't disappoint though -- the company exported 27,224 units last month, which is nearly the same as its CV exports in September 2019.
