Family of five members missing after car rolls down in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: A young couple and their three minor children are feared dead after an accident as the car they were travelling in has been missing since Tuesday while dead body of the man was found lying in Kaghote Nallah near bridge under the jurisdiction of Ramnagar Police Station.

The deceased were identified as Mohan Lal (40), son of Bhagat Ram of village Jindrari was accompanied by his wife Rekha Devi (30) and their three minor children namely Pooja Devi (8), Mukesh Bhagat (10) and Naksh Bhagat (3) who are also feared to have died in the mishap and drowned in the Nallah. The family was on way from Jandrore to Chenani.

Local Police along with SDRF has launched a massive operation to locate the bodies, no success was achieved late Wednesday evening. SDPO Ramnagar, G. R Bhardwaj and SHO Ramnagar, Inspector Jaswinder Singh were personally supervising the search operation.

Deceased Mohan Lal, who was posted as Teacher at Middle School Langa had recently purchased the new Alto car in which he along with his wife and three children was travelling at the time of mishap. The family was on way to residence of Mohan Lal's sister in Chenani when they went missing.
