Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray Jammu Kashmir unit today staged a sit-in protest demanding that people should be allowed to travel to Haridwar for ashes immersion in holy Ganga under Hindu customs.
Party state President Manish Sahni appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of J&K , Girish Chandra Murmu to start special bus services to Haridwar.
Sahni said that the ashes (flowers) of the Hindus who died during the corona crisis and lock-down , their
ashes are laying in a miserable condition at various temples and cremation ghats. The deceased does
not get salvation untilits immersion to the holy Ganges. First of all, the J&K government should allow
the families of the deceased to go to Haridwar to immerse these ashes remains flowing, and special bus
services should be restored between Jammu and Haridwar. Manish Sahni demanded from the
government that if the family members of these people cannot be allowed due to the present
circumstances, then the Shiv Sena, which is not only a political party , but a member of the family who
understands emotions with the rites of Hindus, Will be handed over to Ganga as immersion. Sahni said
that the famous saint of Haridwar, Swami Rajeshwara Nand ji Maharaj, has given full assurance to
cooperate in this work. He is the same great sage who did community immersion of ashes in Ganges
after Gujarat earthquake. Rajeshwara Nand ji Maharaj has been immersing various unclaimed ashes
from many cremation ghats in Delhi. At the end Sahni assured that if this responsibilit given to them ,
will fulfill with all Hindu customs.On this occasion Ashwini Gupta, Raj Singh, Raju Salaria, Bhuri Singh,
Rajesh Handa were present.
