In two separate incidents, a 15-year old boy of 11th standard and a 21-year old girl committed suicide at their respective houses, here today.
According to the police report, Sunil Kumar (15), son of Dharm Chand of Sarmari, Udhampur, was found hanging from ceiling fan hook at his house.

On being informed, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem and registered a case in this connection.
It was an apparent case of suicide but cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Sabita Devi (21), daughter of Ram Pul of Roun Domail, Dhar Road Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. Even as the family members rushed her to District Hospital Udhampur, she did not respond to the treatment and died after some time.

The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the body to family members for postmortem and registered a case for further investigation.
