On the occasion of ‘World Wildlife Day,' the Army conducted a theme-based painting competition and lecture for students of Government High School, Lam. The aim of the competition was to create awareness amongst the students about the importance of wildlife in human life. The lecture also highlighted the issues such as urbanization, pollution, and destruction of wildlife habitats.

The students were educated about, how the species and wildlife play an important role in balancing the environment. A total of 32 students and nine teachers attended the event and prizes were given to first three paintings. The school authorities and the local population were all praises for the efforts of the Army.
