The situation regarding the formation of a new political organization in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will soon become clear. This organization will be announced in the first week of March if the circumstances are favorable. At the moment, there is a churn among the leaders involved in its formation. Possible name may be 'apne party'.

The draft constitution of the organization is also being finalized. Former Finance Minister Saeed Altaf Bukhari has been active since October last in preparing a new political organization emerging. Many senior leaders and activists of many other parties including PDP, National Conference, Congress are going to be part of the new political organization. Altaf Bukhari himself belongs to PDP. Last year, he was expelled from the PDP.

Altaf Bukhari said that the political organization we are bringing to the fore would be solely for the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It will try to resolve the issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are currently preparing its constitution. Its format is almost ready. There will be a meeting of all senior colleagues soon to discuss this. On mentioning the name of the organization, he said that the name has to be decided, it will be people's own party.

Meanwhile, sources said that there will be a meeting of all senior leaders on Friday. In this, the political agenda of the party will be finalized along with the constitution of the party. He said that all the leaders who are going to join the new political organization have indicated the complete state for Jammu and Kashmir, the provision of domicile for those living in Jammu and Kashmir, making employment and development their agenda. He said that efforts are also being made to include former Deputy Chief Minister and Patron of PDP Muzaffar Hussain Baig in the new political organization. His role in the new political organization will be decided on his yes-no.

After the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, the political activities of parties like the National Conference, PDP, Congress, People's Conference, Awami Ittehad Party have almost ceased. Most of the PDP leaders have left the organization or have been expelled from the organization. Many leaders of the National Conference and Congress are also looking for new opportunities for themselves by getting fed up with the Kashmir policies of their leadership.
