Two militants were killed by security forces in Bijbehra of Anantnag district of J&K. Security forces received information that two to three terrorists were hiding in Bijbehra area of ​​Anantnag district. A joint team of 3-RR, CRPF and SOG launched a campaign to nab the terrorists. Seeing the siege of the area, the terrorists started targeting the security forces. The soldiers appealed to the militants to surrender. Despite this, there was continuous firing from the terrorists. The slain militants have been identified as Naveed Bhat's son Furqan. He turned to terror in the year 2018. It is being told that Lashkar had given him the responsibility of carrying out terrorist incidents in Kulgam and turning the youth towards terrorism. The killing of Naveed is considered to be a major success for the security forces.

At the same time, the second terrorist killed in this encounter has been identified as Aaqib Yasin Bhat. It also turned to terrorism in the year 2018. An AK-47, a pistol, several magazines have been recovered from both the slain terrorists.
