Kia Motors has created quite a stir in the Indian market with only two offerings. While Kia Seltos has turned out to be a massive success, Kia Carnival has garnered decent response as well. Now, the South Korean automobile manufacturer is readying its third product for the Indian market and it is a compact SUV. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, Kia Sonet concept was the cynosure of all the eyes at the event. Although the Sonet will enter a segment that is loaded with formidable vehicles, it is expected to pose a serious challenge to its rivals.

The new Sonet launch will take place in India in the second half of 2020.

Kia Sonet Price
Kia Sonet price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia Sonet Rivals
The upcoming Sonet will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Nissan's compact SUV.

Kia Sonet Features
Kia Sonet sports a 'tiger-nose' grille flanked by projector headlamps with LED DRLs and LED taillights. It also gets roof rails and dual-tone alloy wheels. Its cabin will feature 10.25-inch infotainment and navigation system, Bose premium audio system, multifunction steering wheel and automatic climate control. The compact SUV will be equipped with the UVO connectivity technology as well.

Kia Sonet
Kia Sonet is expected to borrow BS6-compliant engines from Hyundai Venue. It will reportedly come with 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. There will an intelligent manual transmission apart from an automatic option.
