Jammu and Kashmir: Former IAS officer Shah Faisal arrested under PSA

Former IAS officer and Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement (JKPM) party chief Shah Faisal has been arrested under the PSA. He is the eighth leader after Farooq Abdullah, who has been taken action under the PSA. Earlier, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Sartaj Madni, Hilal Lone, and Naeem Akhtar are closed under PSA.
Please tell that Faisal was arrested on 14 August 2019 and was lodged in SKICC jail and later transferred to the MLA hostel. However, it is not clear whether they will be moved into the house or placed in the MLA hostel.

Senior PDP leader and maternal uncle of Mehbooba Mufti Sartaj Madni, NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar and Dr. Bashir Veeri, who were taken into preventive custody on August 5 in Jammu and Kashmir, have been released. However, soon after his release, he was arrested in PSA. Madani and Sagar were taken to a government bungalow in Gupakar. While Veeri is under house arrest.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, People's Conference President and former minister Sajjad Gani Lone, PDP leader Waheed, PDP leader Abdul Qayoom Wani were also released from MLA hostels. With this, nine leaders and activists have been released from Sunday to Wednesday.

Amar Ujala had published the news that the Jammu and Kashmir administration may take action under the PSA on the leaders and activists who are suspected of deteriorating the law and order situation after the orderly release of the detained leaders.

NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah was taken action under PSA on 15 September 2019. After which he was imprisoned in a private residence in Gupkar Road, and his house was declared a temporary prison.
