Terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed is now making local students its new weapon to spoil normal conditions in Kashmir Valley and reinvigorate its jihadi network.

The revelation comes from the arrest of terrorists who attacked the grenade attack on Sunday in Pratap Park (Lal Chowk), Srinagar. All the three terrorists caught are students from south Kashmir. One of them has scored 80 percent marks in the recently announced 12th annual board exam result and is currently coaching NEET. These terrorists were communicating with their masters across the border through VPNs on the Internet.

Nine people were injured in the attack
On February 2, the militants attacked a CRPF jawan standing near the pavement outside Pratap Park. Nine people, including two CRPF personnel, were injured in this attack. Within four days, the police solved three attacks and apprehended the three terrorists. They have been identified as Naveed ul Latif and Shakeel Ahmed Bund from Pulwama and Shamshad Manzoor from Shopian.

SSP Srinagar Shahid Iqbal told reporters that both Naveed and Shamshad were taking coaching in Srinagar to prepare for NEET after passing the 12th standard. He told that Shakeel was the kingpin of this module. He is a graduate. He was in constant contact with Shaheen, a commander of Jaish who sat in Pakistan.

Naveed and Shamshad were also in contact with him through Shakeel. Shaheen had entrusted Shakeel to spoil the situation by making grenade attacks in Srinagar and adjoining areas and preparing a new module of Jaish.

Grenades were provided in Srinagar itself
Shakeel conspired with Naveed and Shamshad for grenade attacks in Srinagar. All three were made available for attack by a local terrorist of grenade Jaish in Srinagar itself. After the attack, all three hid at their hideout. Through clues from the scene and electronic surveillance, the police traced the three and apprehended them. During interrogation, these three confessed their crime and gave much important information about Jaish.

Jem module collapsed and arrests possible
SSP Hasib Mughal said that based on the clues found from these three, some more terrorists and their overground workers may be arrested in the coming days. Special teams have been formed to capture them. He said that with the arrest of these three, a module of Jaish being activated in Srinagar has collapsed. He said that the investigation of the mobile phones of these three showed that Jaish is currently trying to trick students in various parts of the Valley, including Srinagar. All these people are in touch with each other on various social sites through VPNs.
