Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti's two-day extensive tour of Reasi district concluded here today with her visit to Sujandhar and surrounding panchayats of block Bhomag under Union Government's public outreach program.

At a public meeting held at Government High School Sujandhar, the Union MoS interacted with the prominent citizens and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and assessed their demands and problems.

She said that every household of Union Territory of J&K would have tapped water by 2021 in the first phase of 'Har Ghar Nal Se Jal' mission. The issues raised by the people included the establishment of a Degree College and an ITI College at Bhomag block and construction of road from Sujandhar to Sarhi and Dangakote.

The DC also briefed the Union MoS about the potential of horticulture in the region owing to the production of various fruits and vegetables like apples, walnuts, garlic, etc. Meanwhile, the MoS launched construction work on a tractor road from Main Road to Takka Mohalla and construction of a water harvesting tank at Sarmeghan Panchayat under Jal Shakti Mission.
