Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur in Nagrota of Jammu district on the second day of the mass outreach program enumerated the benefits arising from the removal of Article 370 and the creation of a Union Territory.

In a program held at Higher Secondary School, Thakur said that Article 370 was unnecessarily hung by the previous governments. The Modi government broke Jammu and Kashmir and fully integrated it with the country for the benefit of its people. He said that the biggest benefit from this was that people of this centrally sponsored schemes would get the benefits easily. He referred to the public welfare schemes of the Modi government. He specifically mentioned the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. He said more development is going to happen than imagined. On this occasion, he also heard the problems of the people. 24 hours open hospital along the highway.

Sarpanch Kishore Sharma of Nagrota Panchayat demanded on the occasion that Nagrota is situated on the banks of National Highway. In such a situation, the hospital should be kept open for 24 hours and the facility of ambulance should also be available at all times. He also insisted on passing vehicles through the temple route to enable devotees to visit the community building in Nagrota and the Kol Kandoli temple, the first darshan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.

Earlier, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur visited Mata Kol Kandoli Mata. He also inaugurated the road leading to Baba Pad Dev place under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. Apart from government officials, BJP leader Nand Kishore Sharma was also present on the occasion.
