FIR lodged against JNU students union president Ishi Ghosh, accusations of assault on security personnel

Delhi Police has registered an FIR against JNU Students' Union President Ishi Ghosh and 19 other students. The FIR has been lodged by these students on January 4 for vandalizing the server room and attacking the security guard. The FIR was lodged by the JNU administration with the police on January 5.

Students opposing the increase in hostel fees at Jawaharlal Nehru University on Friday closed the university's server. With the closure of the server, the registration of the winter semester with the functioning of the university also stopped. On the other hand, the university administration said that it will take disciplinary action against the students who shut down the server.

According to the JNU administration, at around 1 pm on Friday, a group of students went to the Center for Information System room with clothes and masks on their faces and stopped the power supply. Simultaneously the server was also closed.

Registration stopped due to server shutdown. It is mandatory for all students to register again under the winter semester. The last chance for this is till January 5. Admission of students who do not register is canceled.

Students were protesting against the hostel fee hike on Saturday at the JNU campus. At the same time, another group of students came and ended the protest and started attacking the protesters. Meanwhile, other students came and removed those who beat up and beat them up.
