To keep Patidar and Kohli guessing, the PBKS bowler mixed up their deliveries, making it difficult to score runs. Mayank Agarwal's dismissal seemed to dampen RCB's spirits, but Patidar got off to a strong start with hitting a six off Yuzvendra Chahal, the wicket-taker.
After six overs, RCB had reached 59/1, establishing a strong base for the powerplay. Arshdeep Singh was too far away to intercept Mayank Agarwal's overhead ball, which he mistimed but still found a boundary as Vijaykumar Vyshak entered the attack. With Agarwal's aggression balancing Kohli's solid presence, the over yielded nine runs, leaving RCB in a great position as they strive for a dominant total.

Rajat Patidar had a special mention of Virat Kohli after winning the IPL trophy in his first year as RCB skipper. He asserted that 190 was a par score at the ground and credited Krunal Pandya for his match-winning spell.
