State leader Narendra Modi is probably going to visit Jammu and Kashmir one month from now and address a public meeting in Anantnag locale, BJP sources expressed here on Tuesday. This would be the head of the state's most memorable visit to the Kashmir Valley after the repeal of Article 370 in August 2019.

The public meeting will be held as a component of the BJP's political race for the impending general surveys, the sources said. "The top state leader's public meeting is planned for Anantnag area one month from now," the BJP sources said.

"While the specific date is yet to be concluded, the convention will occur any day between Walk 14 to 17," the sources said, adding the party was hanging tight for the last dates from the State leader's Office.

The BJP is focussing on the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat which contains the south Kashmir areas of Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag, and Rajouri-Poonch regions in Jammu.

Before delimitation of the supporters in Jammu and Kashmir, Anantnag seat contained exclusively of the four south Kashmir areas — Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama and Anantnag. The seat was won by Public Gathering's Equity (retd) Hasnain Masoodi in 2019 Lok Sabha surveys.

The visit would be the top state leader's most memorable visit to the Kashmir Valley after the annulment of Article 370 and the bifurcation of the past province of Jammu and Kashmir into two Association Domains in August 2019 by the Middle.

Notwithstanding, this would be Modi's second visit to J&K in two months. The PM tended to a public meeting in Jammu on February 20 during which he likewise revealed different improvement projects totalling over Rs 32,000 crore.
