Delhi's air quality crawled nearer to the 'extreme' classification on Monday morning with quiet breezes and shady circumstances catching poisons, as indicated by observing organizations.

A thick layer of brown haze covered Delhi and its rural areas, decreasing perceivability to only 600 meters at 8 am at the Safdarjung Observatory, the public capital's essential weather conditions station. The perceivability was 800 meters at the Indira Gandhi Worldwide Air terminal.

An authority at the India Meteorological Division said a slight speed up and light precipitation might bring minimal help during the day. Troublesome environmental circumstances are probably going to endure for a few days, the authority said.

Delhi's air quality file (AQI) remained at 400 at 9 am.

The 24-hour normal AQI, recorded at 4 pm consistently, was 395 on Sunday, 389 on Saturday, 415 on Friday, 390 on Thursday, 394 on Wednesday, 365 on Tuesday, 348 on Monday and 301 on November 19.

The public capital has recorded 10 serious air quality days this November up to this point.

The city kept only three serious air quality days in November last year, while it encountered 12 such days in 2021, the most extreme in the month since the Focal Contamination Control Board started observing.
