Five psychological oppressors were killed in a short-term experience with security powers in Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Friday.

"The assemblages of the killed fear mongers are being recovered and the region is being cleaned. Five bodies have been located through rambles," a senior cop said.

Security powers had sent off a cordon-and-search activity at Nehama town of Kulgam following data about the presence of psychological oppressors nearby on Thursday, the authorities said.

The hunt activity transformed into a weapon fight as the psychological militants started shooting towards the security staff, they added.

While the security powers kept a tight cordon around the region where the ultras are caught, the activity was suspended for the time being, the authorities said.

Shots were traded from the beginning Friday following a night-long break at Samno in Nehama area of Kulgam, authorities said.

The house where the fear based oppressors were concealing burst into flames in the trading of fire today, compelling the assailants to emerge.
