The police said in a statement that five people were brought before a magistrate and taken into police custody.
On September 16, protesters attempted to storm the Porompat police station and demanded the release of five youths, prompting security forces to fire several tear gas canisters.
A number of protesters and RAF personnel were slightly injured in the incident.
