India's G20 presidency stands out as the most ambitious in terms of agenda and results.
India has more than tripled the substantive work of previous presidents with 112 results and chair papers.
After the G20 leaders agreed on the New Delhi Declaration, India's G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant announced the historic and groundbreaking G20 Declaration of 100% consensus on all developmental and geopolitical issues.
"In today's words, the new geopolitical points are a powerful call for planet, people, peace, and prosperity and show the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
A comparison of the recent results of the G20 presidency puts India at the top.
Compared to India's 112 presidencies and documents, the other G20 presidencies fared as follows: Indonesia 2022 - 50 results and documents; 65 in Italy in 2021; 30 in Saudi Arabia in 2020; 29 in Japan in 2019; 33 in Argentina in 2018 and 22 in Germany in 2017. In addition, India ensured its footprint in the G20 results by christening them after Indian landmarks and places such as the high-profile Deccan principles of food security and nutrition; Chennai's advanced blue and ocean economy principles; Goa Tourism Action Plan; Gandhinagar Land Reclamation Implementation Plan; and the Jaipur Call to Improve Access to Information for Small and Medium Enterprises.
