Two Air Canada planes collided on the tarmac at Vancouver International Airport, local media reported.

The wingtip of the Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319 struck the wing of a Jazz Air Canada Express Q400 parked at a nearby gate when it was pushed away from the gate on Sunday, Xinhua news agency cited CTV as reporting.

No passengers or ground crew were injured and the passengers will be transferred to another flight, he said.

The Q400 is now due to take off despite a three-hour delay and the A319 passengers are booked onto another aircraft.


The Q400 holds approximately 75 passengers and the Airbus A319 holds more than 120 passengers.
