NCB arrests actor Ajaz Khan after 8 hours of interrogation in connection with drug case

In an all-out war against drug peddlers, the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) Mumbai unit has arrested Bollywood actor Ajaz Khan for his alleged connection with a drug peddler Shadab Batata on Wednesday. He was detained by the agency on Tuesday night from the Mumbai airport. According to the sources in the NCB, Ajaz has some links with Shadab, who has been identified as a key member in the supply chain of the drug racket in the Western suburbs of Mumbai. Sleuths with the NCB have claimed that he was questioned for almost and then been arrested. He'll be producing in the court today, where NCB will be seeking his remand for three days. As per sources, with intelligence inputs, the agency further wants to probe the link form where he used to purchase drugs. The reports also suggest that some banned drugs were also found from his residence. Further investigation is on in this case. As per the report by the news agency ANI, actor Ajaz Khan has been taken for a medical check-up before producing him before a court in Mumbai for remand. "Only 4 sleeping pills were found at my home. My wife has suffered a miscarriage & is using these pills as antidepressants," he says.
