External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Wednesday held wide ranging talks with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi in Tokyo, as part of the 13th Indo-Japan Foreign Ministers� Strategic Dialogue.

The meeting that lasted around 75 minutes covered the entire gamut of bilateral, regional and international issues of concern and mutual interest.
After the meeting, Jaishankar tweeted about the meeting focusing on how to combat the Coronavirus crisis and the �Post-COVID recovery� path.

�Just concluded India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with FM @moteging. Conveyed warm birthday greetings. Discussions covered our co-operation in manufacturing, skills, infrastructure, ICT and health. Our special partnership can make a big difference in Post-COVID recovery,� Jaishankar tweeted.

Japan�s Foreign Minister Motegi also stated that Japan �attaches importance to its strategic relations with India and that he intends to continue working with Minister Jaishankar to further elevate the Japan-India Special Strategic and Global Partnership,� Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

India has reaffirmed the �mutual trust� and �shared values� with Japan. The two sides reviewed the progress made in India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and discussed convergence in various areas, including maritime security, trade and investment, manufacturing, skill development, connectivity and infrastructure, health and wellness, Indo-Pacific Ocean Initiative (IPOI) and UN Reforms, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
