Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been summoned by the Bandra Police to record his statement in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide. The police have confirmed that Sanjay will join the investigation regarding the death of the late actor. Sources have confirmed that Sanjay had offered films to the late actor, but that didn't work out. Sushant couldn't act in the films offered by Sanjay. Police are investigating all the possible angles to know what drove Sushant to take this extreme step. Everyone who was associated with Sushant, on both personal and professional capacity, are being summoned by the police to record their statements. Over 28 persons have recorded their statements till now. Some people have been called multiple times. Last evening, Siddharth Pitani, creative content manager of Sushant, who was also present on June 14 at his residence when the incident took place, also recorded his statement. According to sources, Sanjay will be questioned on the roles that he had offered to Sushant. Some of these films, which Sanjay offered to Sushant, turned out to be blockbusters. So, police will question him on why the deals didn't work out.
