Cluster Varsity Jammu defers 6th sem exams

WATSUPPTODAY | JAMMU

Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) on Wednesday decided to defer the 6th semester terminal examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate courses till further order.
An urgent meeting of all cluster officials-Registrar, Controller Examination, Principals and Deans of Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools of CLUJ was held in the office of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anju Bhasin, to discuss the future course of action with regard to the conduct of terminal examination of sixth semester examinations scheduled to be held in July 2020.
Prof. Anju Bhasin expressed her grave concern on the massive spread of COVID-19 and sought wisdom from the house on the issue.
Keeping in view the rapid spread of COVID-19 pandemic, and the advisory of Disaster Management, the house deliberated that in the prevailing critical situation, it is not possible to conduct examination and risk the lives of the young learners.
The forum decided that all terminal examinations of sixth semester-UG/UG Hons./PGI and 4th Sem PG/ B.Ed/ M.Ed Programmes commencing be deferred and a notification of the same is made evident on the university website.
