Two main wholesale markets in Jammu are closed on Monday after a worker residing at Kanak Mandi and working at Nehru Market tested positive.
A labourer, who works in the Nehru Market warehouse, tested positive on Sunday. The worker is reportedly a resident of a rented accommodation at another wholesale market, Kanak Mandi, so both Nehru Market and Kanak Mandi were shut on Monday.
The worker, who is a permanent resident of Chowki Choura Akhnoor, was hiding after being tested positive. He was found in Paharian Mohalla area of Jammu after an eight-hour search operation by the police.
Meanwhile, Jammu province reported 75 positive cases in the last 24 hours, highest in a single day.
