Doda Police on Tuesday arrested an overground worker of militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen from the Tantna area of Gundna in Doda district. Police recovered a Chinese pistol from Tanvir Hussain’s possession. Doda SSP Mumtaz Ahmed confirmed Hussain’s arrest and said that further investigation was in progress. Sources told that that two more people, Hussain’s brother-in-law and another person, have also been picked up for questioning. Tanvir Hussain was missing for past over two months and was in hiding. Police and Army were looking for him. When HM commander Haroon Abbas was killed on January 15 this year, it came to the fore that he was hiding in Tantna area and Hussain might have been linked to him, said a source. Police are investing the case and further details are awaited.
