80-yr-old woman is 8th victim in J&K

An 80-year-old woman from Rainawari locality of Srinagar died at the Chest Disease (CD) Hospital around 4:30 pm today, doctors said. Doctors said the deceased was under treatment at SMHS Hospital where her samples were taken for testing. She tested positive on Monday and was immediately rushed to the CD Hospital. The daily media bulletin on COVID-19 said, “19 new positive cases have been reported today in Kashmir. 12 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals. Also, one more patient died at Chest Disease Hospital.” Officials said the 19 fresh coronavirus positive cases reported from Kashmir were from the worst affected districts, with exception from Pulwama, where two cases have been reported today after several weeks.
Eight cases have been reported from Anantnag, five Baramulla, three Shopian, two from Pulwama and one from Kupwara, officials said. Majority of the active positive cases, 507, are from Kashmir while 58 are from the Jammu Division.
