One more person tested positive for coronavirus in Ladakh, taking the total number of cases in the Union Territory to three.

He is the son of a coronavirus positive patient, who is undergoing treatment at SNM Hospital, Leh, and has a travel history to Iran. He had gone to Iran on a pilgrimage.

Ladakh administration spokesperson Rigzin Sampheal said the report of the new case reached on Wednesday, taking the total number of positive cases in the UT to three.

“The patient was moved to an isolation ward at the Ladakh Heart Foundation on the outskirts of Leh town,” he said. “Six members of the family have been placed in quarantine and their samples will be sent to Delhi,” he said.
