The Army on Thursday paid tributes to Sepoy Karnail Singh, who was killed in an avalanche in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector.

A solemn ceremony was held at Badami Bagh Cantonment where Lt-Gen KJS Dhillon, GOC, Chinar Corps, and all ranks paid homage to the soldier on behalf of the proud nation, the Army said.

The sepoy was deployed on a forward post in the Gurez sector and on February 26 owing to an avalanche he fell into a deep gorge.
