The Division Bench of the State High Court raised serious questions on the famous Jammu and Kashmir Land Act known as the Roshni Act. The bench said what kind of arrangement was made in Jammu and Kashmir, in which only those who occupy government land were made the owners of the land. The bench said whether there is any law in the Center or any other state of the country, in which the owners of government land are given proprietary rights? If this is the case in any part of the country, a copy of that law should be presented before the bench.
